Several councilmembers recalled that the original grant request included lighting; one member asked, “Is this supposed to be lighting also? This is what the grant is for new sidewalk and in lighting.” Staff said they did not have the contract paperwork at the meeting and could not confirm whether lighting was approved in the awarded grant.
Because the scope and supporting contract documents were not available, a councilmember moved and the council voted to table the item for a future meeting to confirm whether lighting was included and whether the bid package matched the grant award. The motion to table passed on a voice vote.
