The Bridgeton Historical Commission presented Centennial Home plaques to three Bridgeton homeowners at the Oct. 1 city council meeting.
Kathy Carver, chair of the commission, described the program: the commission identifies houses built 100 or more years ago and invites owners to accept a plaque to attach to their property. On Oct. 1 plaques were presented for houses built in 1894, 1924 and 1925. The chair noted one plaque is already installed on the Payne Gentry House for council members to view.
Recipients named on the record included David and Sheila Cluis (house built 1894), David and Keeley Weidman (property on Midview Avenue, built 1924), and Bob and Deb Sattel (property on Fifi Road, built 1925). Council members congratulated the homeowners.
The presentation was ceremonial; no formal action or expenditure was recorded by the council during the event.
