Town and Country approves several ordinances and a resolution; STBG grant agreement continued
Summary
At its Oct. 27 meeting the board approved ordinances on animals and accessory structures, a procedural change for city payments, and a professional services contract for a public works facility; a subdivision indenture amendment and a warrant list were approved; a state grant agreement was continued to Nov. 10.
The Town and Country Board of Aldermen approved a string of routine ordinances and a resolution at its Oct. 27 meeting.
What passed
- Bill 25‑44: Ordinance amending Title 2 (public health, safety and welfare) and Title 4 (land use) relating to animal regulations and residential accessory structures and buildings. The measure passed unanimously and became Ordinance No. 4716.
- Bill 25‑46: Ordinance amending Section 145.04 of the Town of Country code pertaining to financial payments made by the city. The clerk and staff described the current multi‑step review and said the proposed change allows payments to be processed more frequently while maintaining existing thresholds (items over $15,000 still followed the warrant process). The bill passed unanimously and became Ordinance No. 4717.
- Bill 25‑47: Ordinance authorizing the city administrator to execute a professional services agreement with H Design Group LLC for consultant services on the construction of a public works facility. The ordinance passed unanimously and became Ordinance No. 4718.
- Resolution R11‑2025: Approved an amendment to the indenture of trust and restrictions agreement for the Takara Subdivision; the resolution was adopted.
Administrative items
- The warrant list in the amount of $320,770.13 was approved by motion.
- Bill 25‑48 (STBG surface transportation block grant agreement for boat road resurfacing and pedestrian improvements) was read but continued to the Nov. 10 meeting for second reading and consideration.
Votes and procedure
Roll calls were used where required; the record in the meeting minutes shows unanimous adoption for bills 25‑44, 25‑46 and 25‑47. The board used its usual motion-and-second procedure for the warrant list and for continuance of the STBG grant agreement.
