The Neosho City Council voted unanimously to accept a $26,137.50 bid from Southwest Missouri Electric to install new LED stadium lighting at Gifford and Wicks Field.
Kenny, a city staff member, told the council the project was part of a five‑year plan and that bids returned under budget. Staff received three bids; Southwest Missouri Electric submitted the low bid of $26,137.50. Another local bidder, Henson Electric, submitted a higher bid; a third bidder, IKIO LED Light LLC (Indiana), submitted a substantially higher out‑of‑state bid.
"Staff recommends accepting the bid from Southwest Missouri Electric in the amount of $26,137.50," the staff presentation said. Council moved and seconded the recommendation; the clerk recorded a roll‑call vote of 7–0 in favor. The resolution to authorize execution of the contract was recorded as Resolution Bill 2025‑37.
