On-call utility repair services (DPW #100925): The board accepted unit-price bids submitted by Site Services, TN Masonry and Dina’s Excavating under town contract DPW‑100925 to provide on‑call maintenance and emergency repairs for sanitary sewers, storm drains and other infrastructure. Public Works staff told the board they received four bids, and the three firms named provided the lowest responsive unit-price proposals. Funding for emergency repairs is available in the Sanitary Sewer Enterprise Fund and the streets budget, the staff said. The motion passed unanimously.
Fuel pedestal and pump replacement: The board awarded a contract to Spiegler Petroleum Equipment LLC of Westminster in the amount of $48,000 to remove the existing fueling island and install a new Islander Prime commercial fueling system with two dispensers (one diesel, one gasoline). Staff said replacement is necessary because replacement parts for the existing 2014 dispensers are no longer available; the system will integrate with the town’s computerized fuel-management tracking. The motion passed unanimously.
Votes were recorded on the meeting record for each item. Commissioners expressed appreciation for staff vetting and emphasized that funds are available for the recommended contracts.
