The Town of Norwood Community Preservation Commission voted Oct. 8 to close out the Airport Playground project and return $96,684 in unused Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds. The commission approved allocating $67,679 to the town’s Open Space account and $29,005 to the CPA undesignated reserve.

The motion to accept the closeout was moved and seconded during the meeting; commissioners recorded votes in favor during roll call. The vote was recorded as unanimous among commissioners present.

The action restores the unused project balance to the CPA funding pools for future eligible projects. Commissioners did not attach additional conditions to the closeout during the vote.
