Aurora's police chief presented the department's September activity report, including 333 calls for service, 70 traffic stop arrests, 23 nontraffic arrests and 11 DUI arrests.
The chief said the department had five active drug investigations, four new investigations and three undercover buys for the month. Officers executed one search warrant that resulted in a misdemeanor arrest and two local seizures: approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine and 1 gram of crack cocaine.
In a joint investigation with the FBI that began in another county, the chief said a search warrant executed in Harrisburg yielded approximately 1 kilogram of cocaine, several ounces of methamphetamine, about $20,000 in cash and at least one firearm. The chief also noted the seizure of firearms from a local individual, including one that appeared to have been produced with a 3D printer.
Council members had no further questions recorded in the transcript following the presentation.
