Council members said they met with local landlords to solicit feedback on a proposed rental ordinance and will consolidate that input into updated draft text.

Staff said they will work with council members and pull in relevant staff to prepare text that reflects landlord feedback and prior council suggestions. The updated draft will be circulated to council members prior to the November 3 meeting so members can review and decide how to proceed.

Council members also referenced earlier work to tidy up other ordinances before year-end and noted that chapters 131 and 200 were advertised and would be presented for adoption later in the meeting.

No final ordinance text was adopted during this session; the matter remains under review with a staff circulation and follow-up at the next regular meeting.
