Chair Tessman said the packet reflected three major iterations and that the commission had asked staff to seek input from the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC). "The most vigorous feedback was provided by the tribe," Tessman said, noting tribal concern that environmental protection had been underemphasized in earlier drafts. Following that outreach, staff added a fifth policy goal focused on protecting, restoring and managing natural systems.
Director Davis said the city can wait: "There was an understanding that we had to have this adopted by the end of this year, and that's not necessarily true. We have until 2029 to adopt our climate element," she said, and…
