Highway 41 work for Silvertip project reported complete; grading to resume in 2026

Mariposa County staff reported that expansion work on Highway 41 linked to the Silvertip project is complete and that the contractor is preparing to leave the site for the winter. County staff said final completion notices had been filed and that Army Corps of Engineers permitting work was nearly finished; grading activities permitted under Mariposa County are expected to resume in 2026 when weather permits.

Board members also reported a separate, locally important improvement: the general store has installed a new side access and a walk‑up ramp after obtaining a building permit earlier in the year, which community members said should reduce the parking and access issues that had been raised at prior meetings.

No formal county approvals were taken at the meeting; the report was delivered as an informational update from staff and by correspondence from project lead Ryan Folks, who was not present.
