Commissioners approved a block of notices setting public hearing dates for the Transportation Improvement Program, county budget and levies, and the five-year homeless services plan; staff also announced procurement timelines including an RFP for tower remediation and an RFQ to update the Middle Fork water system plan.
At the start of its Nov. 4 meeting the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners approved a group of notice resolutions (25-305 through 25-310) setting public hearing dates and procurement timelines.
Wes Anderson, county engineer, said the notice for the proposed 2026–2031 Transportation Improvement Program and the 2026 annual construction program sets a public hearing for 10 a.m. Nov. 25 in the commissioners' hearing room; the notice will be published in the Chronicle on Nov. 13 and Nov. 20. Becky Butler said the hearings on the 2026 budget and levies are scheduled for or after 10 a.m. Dec. 1 in the same hearing room. Eric Heiser reported that the hearing to consider revisions to the county’s five-year homeless services plan is set for Dec. 23 at 10 a.m.; the plan will be available for public review when the notice publishes.
Procurement timelines announced include an RFP for remediation of communications towers at Cooks Hill and Hopkins with bids due Dec. 3, and an RFQ to solicit engineering services to update the Middle Fork Water and Sewer System plan in accordance with WAC 246-290-100, as described by Public Works Director Jeff Soderquist. Mija Hanlon of Public Health and Social Services said the coordinated entry RFP for countywide HMIS and no-wrong-door coordinated entry services is open in the county’s procurement system and closes Nov. 21.
All notice resolutions were approved by the board in a single roll-call vote (3–0).
