Clallam County commissioners voted to extend bid and RFQ deadlines for the county’s joint public-safety facility project on Oct. 21.
Staff said two solicitations were issued—one for general-contractor services and one for project management/construction administration—and that the county received a high volume of contractor questions requiring an addendum. To give potential contractors time to prepare, staff proposed (and the board approved) moving both submittal deadlines to 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, with the county planning to open bids during its scheduled meeting that day.
Staff described the decision as intended to increase competition and ensure prospective bidders have complete information. One extension also applied to the RFQ for construction administration/project management services; both deadlines were aligned to Nov. 10 at 10:00 a.m.
Next steps: bids and RFQs will be due Nov. 10 at 10:00 a.m.; staff will open submissions at the county meeting and proceed with procurement and evaluation per county procurement rules.
