Manager Gannell told the council that the village’s due diligence period ended Oct. 22 and that the closing date has been set for Nov. 6, 2025. Clerk Short explained the resolution before the council authorizes the mayor to sign the assignment of contract and all settlement documents once the sale is completed.
A council member moved to adopt Resolution 2025‑R‑14; the motion was seconded and the mayor called for a voice vote. The motion carried unanimously.
The resolution follows an earlier authorization at the beginning of the sale process that allowed staff to negotiate and execute the offer and contract. The current action specifically authorizes the mayor to sign closing documents and assignment paperwork when the sale is completed.
