The Laramie County School District #1 board of trustees approved routine business and four new-business motions during the public meeting session.
The board adopted the agenda and approved the consent agenda by voice vote. Items on the consent agenda were treated as routine and approved in a single motion.
In new business the board approved these motions by voice vote:
• Denial of a governmental claim filed by Darlene Adele Moffett in the amount of $500,000 (motion approved).
• Granting permission for East Band to fundraise for its trip to Music in the Parks in Denver, Colorado, May 8–9, 2026 (motion approved).
• Granting permission to contract for translation services with TransPerfect for an amount not to exceed $75,000; staff said the vendor provides in-person and virtual translation and document translation services, aimed particularly at special-education documents and family participation (motion approved).
• Granting permission to contract with Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects for owner-representative services for the ARC Elementary School replacement facility in an amount not to exceed $336,931 (motion approved).
The board moved to adjourn into executive session for possible student long-term suspensions and expulsions, personnel matters and proposed litigation.
The record shows voice votes with board members saying "aye" on the motions; the transcript does not include a roll-call tally nor the names of the individual movers and seconders for each motion on the public record.
