Planning commission approves Boise State practice‑field modification with conditions on lights and prior CUP compliance

The Boise City Planning and Zoning Commission on Nov. 3 approved a modification to a conditional use permit allowing Boise State University to expand an existing practice field at 1507 South Oakland Avenue.

Planning staff described the proposal as a modification to a prior conditional use approval to expand the eastern practice field on a 10.46‑acre complex. The proposed changes would remove 34 automobile spaces, add 48 bicycle parking spaces and 17 micromobility spaces (a net increase of 31 non‑auto spaces). The modification also expands the allowable practice schedule to align with NCAA standards, adding preseason and limited rental activity.
