The Wilson School Board voted Nov. 3 to appoint Rebecca Travellini as assistant principal at Southern Middle School. The motion was made by Missus Casper and seconded by Mister Hart and carried on roll call with eight yes votes and one abstention (Mister McCray). The effective start date was not determined at the meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Trichet described Travellini as coming from the Topahawkin area with a background as an elementary teacher and noted the hire completes the district's recent round of administrative staffing. Board members welcomed both Travellini and the new principal at Southern, John Schroeder, who was present for the vote.
The board directed Human Resources to confirm Travellini’s official start date and to follow up with a public announcement; HR will report the confirmed date back to the board.
