Board approves revised Phase 3 site plan for 3 Lakes Golf Club PUD

Martin County commissioners unanimously approved minor revisions to the 3 Lakes Golf Club planned unit development’s Phase 3 final site plan on Nov. 4. The applicant requested relocation of several unbuilt golf cottages, reorganization of recreational amenities and a small expansion of an on‑site lake near the east clubhouse parking area.
Staff described the request as a redistribution of previously approved but unbuilt cottages (a net reduction of three cottages from the PUD maximum) and an approximately 1.34‑ to 1.58‑acre expansion of Lake 13 to improve amenity placement near the clubhouse. Planner Brian Elam told the board the project remains consistent with the PUD zoning and the approved master site plan.
Applicant counsel Morris Crady said the changes are intended to improve layout and guest experience and that construction of golf facilities is progressing; he told the board the third course has been completed and a 12‑hole course was nearing completion with clubhouse finishing work expected later in the year.
The board voted to adopt the resolution approving the revised Phase 3 final site plan.
