Fort Myers Beach opens bids for landscaping and irrigation RFP 2601PW; two proposals received

"As of the due date and time, we received a total of 2 proposals, 1 from Grama Construction techno Technologies and 1 from Tidewater Landscape," Amy Baker, town clerk, said during the bid opening at 3:30 p.m. Baker also said the RFP was issued Oct. 2, 2025, and that the town issued one addendum to the solicitation.
The clerk opened RFP Form C, the price proposal form, and stated it contains multiple pages of line-item pricing for materials such as rock, trees and bushes, labor rates for different types of work, and irrigation costs. Baker said both proposals appeared complete on initial review and that the town will convene a selection advisory committee at 10:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, in Council Chambers at Town Hall to evaluate the submissions. The town hopes to bring a recommendation to the Town Council for approval at its Dec. 1 meeting.
The transcript includes an inconsistent reading of one bidder's name: the clerk first read a name rendered in the transcript as "Grama Construction techno Technologies," and later in the same sequence the clerk referenced a similarly worded name (heard as "Green Technologies or Green Construction Technologies").
