Hopkinton council appoints Lid Nugent to Recreation Commission, tables EDC appointment

Councilors moved to appoint Nugent, the motion was seconded, and the roll-call vote recorded yes votes from Councilor James, Councilor Davis, Councilor Roy, Councilor Burns and Gary (the council president). Councilors remarked they were pleased Nugent stepped forward to join the commission.
The council then considered an appointment to the Economic Development Commission (EDC). One councilor moved to table the EDC appointment to gather more information; the motion to table was seconded and carried by the council, with the item to be revisited at a future meeting when supplemental information is available.
No amendments or conditional terms were recorded for the Nugent appointment. The council proceeded to the licensing portion of the agenda after completing the appointments item.
