Board approves minutes and two consent items; personnel item pulled and safety-drill records to be corrected

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District board approved the Oct. 27, 2025 regular meeting minutes and approved two consent items after clarifying corrections.

At the call for the approval of the 10/27/2025 regular meeting minutes, a motion and a second were made and the chair called for a voice vote; the record shows the motion passed. Later, during the consent agenda, the superintendent presented three consent items: approval of bills payable, approval of resignations/staff appointments/retirements, and approval of school safety drills. Board members noted there was no staff movement to report and that some school safety drill reports contained transposed numbers.

The board pulled the personnel item for lack of any staff movement and said approval of the school safety drills would be contingent on correcting a few numerical errors in the reports. The board then approved two items (bills payable and the corrected school safety drills) by voice vote; the record shows the motion passed.

The meeting minutes and the consent action will be reflected in the official minutes; the board requested that staff correct the safety-drill entries before they are finalized.
