Keizer council approves volunteer committee appointments
Summary
The council unanimously accepted the Volunteer Coordinating Committee’s recommendations, appointing a planning commission youth liaison and members to the multimodal safety committee and parks and recreation advisory board.
At the Nov. 3 meeting the Keizer City Council approved a slate of appointments recommended by the volunteer coordinating committee.
Staff presented the list of recommended appointees: Talia Messickar (planning commission youth liaison for the 2025–26 school year); Michael Welsh and Hirsch Sangster to the multimodal safety committee through Dec. 31, 2028; and Tanya Hamilton, Mike Pantalone and Gwen Carr to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board through Dec. 31, 2028. Staff recommended council approve the appointments.
Council President Starr moved to accept the recommendations; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously with one member absent. Council thanked volunteers for serving on city boards and commissions.
