Commission OKs advertisement of public hearing for Southbrook Section 2 final plat

The Berkeley County Planning Commission voted to accept staff recommendation to advertise a public hearing on Dec. 1, 2025, for final plat consideration of Southbrook Section 2 (File 2507-217). The proposal would create 34 single-family lots on 14.99 acres in the Mill Creek District. The motion was made by Michael Bush and seconded by Mister Goff and carried by voice vote.
Staff said county engineer Doug Smith found the project compliant with the subdivision ordinance on Oct. 6, 2025. The developer was identified in the record as Chandlers Glen LLC, with a representative, Mark McDonald of Integrity Federal Services, attending. Staff recommended final plat determination and advertisement for the Dec. 1 public hearing at which the commission will consider full final-plat approval.
No public comments were recorded during the meeting on this item. The advertised public hearing will provide an opportunity for public input and for the commission to take a final decision on plat approval.
