The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors presented a retirement commendation to Juanita Virgill for more than 40 years of county service, citing her long career in the Department of Child Support Services.

The recognition noted that Virgill began her career when the department was part of the district attorney's office and advanced from office clerk to senior child support officer. The board highlighted her role in the department's transition to a new child support system (CSE), her outreach work to increase participation rates, and receipt of a county employee excellence award.

Board members invited Virgill and her colleagues to the dais for photos and offered thanks for her service. Virgill was given the opportunity to speak, and the board closed the item with applause and a photo opportunity.
