Melody, the meeting clerk, read the ordinance title. Eric Trotter, planner, told the council that 26 letters were mailed to surrounding property owners and “2 returned not in favor,” and that the returned letters did not specify the specific points of objection.
Council heard no public comment on the ordinance. Councilman Finch and others asked procedural questions and requested Trotter be available for technical clarification. The ordinance was moved, seconded and approved by roll call; the clerk announced the result as "8 to 0." The rezoning amends the city zoning map under Ordinance No. 4370.
