Lake County designates November 2025 as Native American Heritage Month, tribal representatives praise collaboration

Kyle Bill, introduced as a guest, spoke on behalf of his family and community and praised the county's engagement with tribal governments: "we really appreciate not just the acknowledgment that the county makes to do these proclamations, but also the the step further that goes into engaging tribes and making sure that we're at the table to voice, some of our our concerns and also contribute to the the the the moving forward of community that we are all here today, to do." Board members also noted expanded collaboration, including a tribal liaison and planned co-management discussions for Clear Lake.
