Weber County adopts midyear budget amendments, approves modest executive pay increase

The Weber County Commission on Nov. 4 adopted amendments to the 2025 operating and capital budgets and approved a small compensation increase for an assistant director in Culture, Parks & Recreation.
Finance and budget staff described several revenue increases resulting from additional state and federal grants to the health department — primarily WIC funding — and higher than anticipated sales and event activity at the county conference center. Staff also described a transfer-station ramp improvement funded in part by donations and noted tourism-related revenue the county anticipates transferring to help finance renovation work at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center (OECC).
In a separate item included in the hearing, staff described a small salary increase for an assistant director who assumed additional duties in Culture, Parks & Recreation and realized net savings for the county. Commissioners discussed the requested increase and approved the compensation change as part of the budget amendment.
After the public hearing commissioners voted to adopt Resolution 45‑2025, which amends the county’s operating and capital budgets for 2025 and includes the described compensation change.
