Council recognized Olsen's Greenhouse as the city's volunteer of the month. Kent Phillips accepted the recognition on behalf of the company and described its multi-generational history in the community and its scale of operations. "Founded in 1942 by Jack and Nola Ray Olsen," Phillips said, describing the company's growth from a family operation to a multi-state grower supplying national retailers.
Phillips said Olsen's operates eight facilities across multiple states and employs more than 2,500 people, with roughly 100 employees in Santaquin. He described local contributions including planter donations, educational field trips for elementary and FFA students, and internships for horticulture students. The council presented a gift basket and wall plaque and thanked Olsen's for community partnership.
