Summary
Council approved a three-story, 100-unit assisted living and memory care project (Grover ALMC) with developer request for up to $3,300,113 in tax-increment financing support; the developer said construction will begin in earnest in spring with dirt moving soon.
The Omaha City Council approved tax-increment financing support for the Grover ALMC assisted-living and memory care redevelopment project near 70th and Grover, allowing the developer to receive up to $3,300,113 in TIF assistance for a roughly $30,000,000 project.
Don Seton, city planning, described the proposal: a three-story senior living facility with about 100 units for assisted living and memory care developed by Grover ALMC LLC, managed by Brett West. "It's a $30,000,000 project. They're requesting $3,300,113 in TIF support," Seton said. Developer Brett West said they expect to move dirt next month and to ramp up work in earnest in spring.
Council members expressed support, noting the added senior care capacity in the area. The council voted 7-0 to approve the preliminary TIF request and moved the redevelopment agreement forward in a subsequent related item.
