The Lake County Board of Supervisors recorded the following formal actions during the session:
- Assessment appeal continuance (Donnica LLC): The Board of Equalization continued the assessment appeal hearings for Donnica LLC to March 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The motion to continue was adopted 5-0. County counsel and the applicant indicated a written waiver of the State Board of Equalization two-year hearing rule had been executed.
- Lake County Air Quality Management District property purchase (2617 South Main Street): Sitting as the AQMD board of directors, the board authorized staff to determine that the portion of district property referenced in the purchase agreement "is no longer required for the purpose of the district" under Health and Safety Code section 40701(e), approved the purchase agreement and authorized the Air Pollution Control Officer to sign. Motion carried (voice vote).
- Sheriff jail staffing resolution (agenda 7.7): The board adopted a resolution amending fiscal-year 2025-26 position allocations to create a limited-term correctional sergeant position so a deputy can be promoted for an estimated 6-8 month cover period while a current sergeant remains on indeterminate leave. Vote recorded 5-0.
- Emergency hunger-relief funding and ad hoc work group: The board approved administrative funding of $40,000 per week for two weeks ($80,000 total) for short-term hunger relief in response to the SNAP/CalFresh benefit delay and established an ad hoc work group to coordinate the county's response; vote 5-0.
- Public health grant acceptance (agenda 7.6): The board authorized the Health Services Department to accept $100,000 from Partnership Health Plan of California over three years to support the countywide community health assessment and community health improvement plan process, and authorized the director to sign required documents. Motion adopted.
