The City of Wausau has rereleased the request for interest (RFI) for the North Second Street site with a deadline of Dec. 19 for proposals, staff told the Economic Development Committee on Nov. 4.

Staff said they will present returned proposals to the committee at its January meeting and that they had coordinated with the sign crew to put a larger advertisement sign on the site in the next week or two. Economic Development Manager Patrick Gatterman and other staff said they hope multiple proposals will be received.

No formal action was taken on the RFI at the Nov. 4 meeting; staff set the timeline and advised the committee they will bring proposals forward in January.
