The Mental Health Task Force reported that it has council approval to install signage directing residents to the 988 mental health crisis hotline and that funding for the signs has been secured. A task force representative said the committee had prepared a site plan for how many signs and where they should be placed and that the town has "got the funding source already."
Committee members said their next meeting will focus on execution and deployment now that funds and council authorization are in place. "So our next meeting will probably deal with the execution of that because everything is already in place. We got the money. We got the approval from council," a task force representative said.
Staff updates discussed in the meeting indicated the parks department and public-works staff would coordinate installation dates and site preparation. Committee members asked for confirmation of installation timing and for staff to publish a rollout plan once dates are confirmed.
