Lawrence Board of Zoning Appeals elects new chair, vice chair and secretary

The Lawrence Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously elected Patrick as chair, Haley as vice chair and Catherine Week to remain as secretary during its meeting. Members voted by show of hands after a motion and second to approve the three appointments.
The board also moved to approve the minutes from the Sept. 4 meeting; members seconded that motion and approved the minutes by show of hands. After routine business concluded, members recognized outgoing chair Adam for his service before adjourning.
The votes recorded were procedural and unanimous; the board made no substantive land-use decisions at this meeting. The new chair will preside over future hearings and administrative appeals until the next organizational cycle.
