Board approves TISA report, LEAPS budget, tech surplus and Beta Club trip

The Lebanon Special School District board approved multiple routine agenda items during the meeting: the TISA accountability acknowledgment required under the funding formula, the LEAPS (Lottery for Education after‑school program) budget, disposition of district technology surplus and an overnight Beta Club trip.

Staff presented the TISA accountability report as a required annual acknowledgement and told the board the report is ready for submission pending board acknowledgement. A motion to approve the accountability report was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote.

Staff explained LEAPS funds are state funds allocated for after‑school tutoring and related services; the district’s SACC director was present and the board approved the LEAPS budget by motion and voice vote. The board also approved a technology‑surplus disposition; staff said devices would be wiped by an eRecycle/eWaste vendor and recycled. The board approved an overnight trip request for Winfrey Bryant Middle School’s Beta Club to attend a convention in November.
