Assembly directs administration to revisit room-tax allocation to tourism nonprofit; amendment adopted

Constance said the amendment —is meant to strip away— micromanagement by the Assembly and empower the administration to negotiate terms and return with a draft contract. Members including Mister Johnson and Miss Brawley expressed support for the amended approach as a way to preserve the Assembly—s interest while allowing the administration to carry out negotiations.
The amendment was adopted without objection, and the main motion as amended passed 12-0 (youth member yes).
