Centerton council adopts final plat for Featherstone West Phase 1

The City of Centerton City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 2025-54 on Oct. 28, approving the final plat for Featherstone West Subdivision Phase 1, which creates residential Lots 1 through 100, Tracks C1 through C5 (green space) and Commercial Lot A.

Council members reviewed city staff’s report that the developer submitted a warranty bond of $464,018.50, street and drainage bonds totaling $346,721.75, and a performance bond of $192,062.52. Staff noted the Planning Commission heard the item on Oct. 21 and that the developer requested a special meeting to bring the final plat before the council.

After the ordinance text was read aloud, a motion to suspend the rule requiring three separate readings was made and seconded; the council voted in the affirmative. The council then moved to adopt Ordinance 2025-54. A roll-call vote recorded the following members voting yes: Cliff Thompson; Justin Cowher; Wendy Henson; Chelsea Reed; Joshua Hagen; and Cody Monks. The motion carried and the ordinance was adopted.

The ordinance text accepted the final plat for Featherstone West Subdivision Phase 1 and included the legal description placing the property in Section 3, Township 19 North, Range 31 West, Benton County, Arkansas. City staff presented the bond figures on the record during the meeting. No amendments to the ordinance were recorded in the meeting minutes provided.

With the adoption of Ordinance 2025-54, the council formally accepted the final plat and the associated bonds as reported at the meeting. The record indicates no separate conditions or additional requirements were imposed in the council vote during this special meeting.
