City staff read a citation from the Arkansas House recognizing Violet Brumley Hensley for her lifetime contributions to Ozark folk art and music.

The staff member said the citation notes Hensley "has devoted her life to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage in The Ozarks" and references national recognition, induction into halls of fame, and appearances at national festivals. The citation names Representative Jason Nazarenko and Representative Steven Walker as the motion sponsors and lists Art Hester among those to present the citation in September 2025.
