Chester County board says voter services prepared for Nov. 4 municipal election; officials outline key deadlines and procedures

Chester County election officials on Oct. 3 told residents the county is prepared for the Nov. 4 municipal election and outlined key deadlines, operational schedules and common ballot errors to avoid.

Director of Voter Services Karen Barsoom said the county has 384,626 registered voters and reported that more than 44,000 mail‑in ballots were sent between the prior day and the meeting. "Polls are open from 7AM until 8PM," Barsoom said, and voters may return ballots by mail, in person at the Ballot Services Office or at one of 13 drop boxes that open Oct. 21.

Why it matters: Barsoom warned that municipal elections historically show more returned ballots disqualified for procedural errors than general elections.
