Planning commission continues Cypress 3 LLC parking‑lot case to Dec. 2

The City of Winter Haven Planning Commission voted to continue Case PD‑25‑07‑S, a request by Cypress 3 LLC for approval of a standalone parking lot at 129 Bates Avenue SW (approximately 0.66 acres), to the commission’s Dec. 2, 2025 hearing. City staff told the commission the applicant asked for the continuance and staff recommended granting it.
No public testimony was offered on the item at the Nov. 3 meeting. Under normal procedure, the continued item will return to the Planning Commission for public hearing, staff presentation and any commissioner questions before the commission takes a final vote.
The continuance does not approve any construction; if special‑use approval is granted at a later hearing, the property would still require site plan approval and any applicable code compliance or permitting requirements before work could begin.
