Duchesne County Planning Commission schedules Oct. 1 hearing on gravel pit permit request

The Duchesne County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2025, at the County Commission Chambers, 734 North Center Street in Duchesne, to consider a conditional use permit request from Gordon Moon to operate a gravel pit on parcels 00-0034-9994, 00-0034-9793 and 00-0027-8337, south of the Bridgeland area off Antelope Canyon Road.

The request was announced in a public hearing notice published Sept. 17 through Oct. 1 on the Utah State Public Notice website and the Duchesne County website. The Planning Division said it will accept written comments by email at planning@duchesne.utah.gov or by mail to Duchesne County Planning Division, P.O. Box 317, Duchesne, Utah 84021. Those needing special accommodation for the meeting were asked to contact the Planning Division at least three days before the hearing.
