Daytona Beach Shores crews repair sewer line under 2200 block; dune walkovers restored after storm

City staff reported an emergency sanitary sewer repair in the 2200 block after crews found a roadway depression caused by a broken sewer line serving Perry's Ocean's Edge. "Should that have fully collapsed, they would have been out of business," a city official said, and crews completed the emergency repair and will restore the roadway after the sewer work is finished.
Staff also told the commission that six of the city's 12 dune walkovers, which were taken out of service by a recent nor'easter, have been returned to service. Two county walkovers that were washed out have also been repaired, staff said.
The city manager thanked the commission for making themselves available in the lead-up to the meeting and for facilitating operations while crews completed repairs.
