Tipp City Council on Nov. 3 approved a resolution authorizing the city to take actions necessary to transfer or assume certain Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA) loans from Monroe Township to the Monroe Township Water and Sewer District as part of the city—s assumed responsibility for the Country Estates water and sewer area.
Mr. Mack explained the resolution allows the transfer of OWDA debt from Monroe Township to the city and that repayment will be handled through assessments transferred with the systems. The measure follows council—s recent action for the city to take over Country Estates water and sewer service.
No public speakers addressed the item during the hearing. On roll call, the resolution passed with one member indicating an abstention. Recorded votes: Mr. Slagle — yes; Mrs. Pittenger — yes; Mr. Liddy — yes; Mr. Kessler — abstain; Mr. Insulin — yes; Mayor Rogers — yes; President Huffman — yes.
