Jennifer told trustees that Baker & Taylor—s cessation of operations earlier in the month had increased staff time to cancel and re-place orders with other vendors, but she said Franklin maintained an account with Ingram and expects to catch up on ordered materials.
Trustees asked how the change would be communicated to patrons following Hoopla—s removal; Jennifer said staff had already posted on Facebook and planned additional outreach and educational materials to explain alternative digital options.
The motion approved Franklin—s share to fund the Lucky Day collection at the $100,000 system level; trustees did not commit Franklin to the larger, systemwide $150,000 figure.
