Woodland council approves consent calendar including grant of authority for new fire station, 5–0
Summary
The council approved consent calendar items 3 through 16 by a 5–0 vote. The motion was made by Council Member Tanya Garcia Cadena and seconded by Council Member Vega. Item 15 included amended language that council said would be incorporated into the ordinance.
The Woodland City Council unanimously approved the consent calendar (items 3–16) at its Oct. 21 meeting.
Council Member Tanya Garcia Cadena moved to approve the consent calendar and Council Member Vega seconded. The mayor called the vote and the motion carried 5–0.
Council discussion noted one consent item grants authority to the city manager to proceed with development of a new fire station; council members said they expect regular engagement on that capital project and staff said they will return with a request-for-proposal and additional details, including procurement steps for architect and contractor work, likely in February. Staff also noted that additional language provided in a memo will be incorporated into item 15 prior to finalization.
No members of the public addressed the consent calendar during the meeting.
