Board approves amendment adding Christina Estates East to wet‑pond maintenance agreement
Summary
The board approved a first amendment to the maintenance agreement for the Christina Estates Addition No. 1 wet detention basin, adding Christina Estates East (about 10 lots) to the cost share. The pond is within a larger regional pond owned by the village, and the amendment adjusts the maintenance charge‑back allocation.

The Mount Pleasant Village Board approved a first amendment on Oct. 27 to the maintenance agreement between the Mount Pleasant Stormwater Utility/Drainage Utility District and lot owners of Christina Estates Addition No. 1 for the wet detention pond serving the subdivision.
Tony (village staff) explained that the original agreement apportioned future maintenance costs among the lots that contributed to the pond when the subdivision was built to meet current water‑quality requirements. The wet detention basin lies within a larger regional pond owned by the village, and because new sewers and tributary lots now connect to the pond, the amendment adds Christina Estates East — roughly 10 additional lots — to the maintenance cost share and recalculates the apportionment.
A trustee moved and seconded the amendment; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Staff said the amendment performs the arithmetic necessary to include the additional lots in future maintenance billing. The board did not discuss a specific maintenance schedule or cost estimate at the meeting.
