She clarified the removals are primarily street trees and that park trees with similar hazards are being handled as a separate, lower-priority matter.
No formal vote was taken by the commission; the update was informational. The city will confirm contracting via the board of control (administrative procurement process), after which removal scheduling, public notice and tree-disposal logistics will be handled by city staff and the selected contractor.
