Olathe council approves land acquisitions for I‑35/Santa Fe interchange reconstruction project

City Engineer Nate Baldwin answered a council question about a parcel near Merlin and Santa Fe in front of a McDonald's that currently houses a bus stop. Baldwin said staff would examine whether a bus pull‑off could be provided as part of the improvements and would report back to the council; council members noted relocating a stop that sits too close to an intersection would be beneficial for traffic flow.
