Residents press planners for maps, fire‑safety and utility data during Yamhill hearing

Multiple residents used the public-testimony portion of the Yamhill planning commission hearing to press for more technical data and to flag safety and transparency issues in the draft omnibus amendments.

Patty Tieran, a city councilor speaking as a resident, told the commission she had discovered an ordinance change that had not appeared in the council packet and asked whether the actual ordinance language is routinely included prior to council action. “When you all do ordinance changes, obviously, you give those to city council. Do is it your responsibility or council's responsibility to include those in the packet?” she asked, urging clearer packet practices and web posting of ordinance text.
