The Crawford County Board of Commissioners approved routine minutes, vendor payments and a slate of procurement and contract items during its Oct. 8 full session.
The board approved minutes from the Sept. 24 full session and the Oct. 1 work session, and authorized payment of bills totaling $2,765,176.82 for the period ending Oct. 7, 2025. Commissioners voted on each item by roll call.
Among the procurement and contract approvals the board ratified were: a Trace Auction Service contract to perform the county’s tax upset sale; 23 Microsoft Exchange online licenses ($7,731.68); seven Cisco desktop phones ($1,355.55); cabling and hardware for district court ($564.71); and small invoices tied to ongoing courthouse remodeling and IT office work. The board also ratified reimbursements and pay applications presented by planning, human services and other departments.
Most items were described by staff as not budgeted line items and were handled as single motions with motions properly moved and seconded, followed by roll calls. Several procurement items were described as paid from restricted or program-specific funds: the 23-pistol and holster purchases for adult probation were paid from the president judge’s county supervision fee restricted-receipt account; the large public-safety tower and channel relocation projects were described as paid from wireless funds; and a $225,540 pay application for the Meadville Central Fire Station was charged to City of Meadville CDBG funds.
Commissioners did not engage in extended debate on the consent agenda items. Roll-call responses ("yes") appear throughout the public record for each motion.
The board adjourned after routine closing business and later held separate salary-board and retirement-board meetings that approved personnel actions and several retirement motions.
