Staff explained the price difference was largely in the protective barrier component, and that other bidders offered only a one-year warranty. The county determined the extended warranty and the vendor's local track record justified the higher cost.
A motion to award the contract to Range Systems Incorporated passed on a voice vote; Commissioners Delosier and Brown recorded "aye." The transcript shows the motion was seconded and approved by the board. The agenda item is listed as 2026-14.
