The county said the parcel will secure the convenience center’s current location and provide an option for future expansion. County staff indicated the purchase would be funded from the solid‑waste fund balance and that the amount is not a large portion of that fund.
Commissioner Grove moved and Commissioner McElwain seconded to place the purchase on the regular session agenda; commissioners approved by voice vote. The action advanced the purchase agreement to the regular session for final vote and any deed approvals.
